I have been interested in photography for most of my life. The way subtle changes in light and time can impact the look of a scene or subject is infinite. Mid tones, highlights, and shadows constantly change what we see.  I work to capture the most interesting display of these components.

About the Artist

Mike Vittorioso, juried fine arts photographer, lives in North Waterboro, Maine.  

First recognized as having skill as an artist by the Maine State Commission of the Arts and Humanities in 1973.  Successfully completed an independent study in Black & White Photography for credit towards my undergraduate degree @ U.M.M.

I am a member of the Sanford Art Association and a Juried member of the Stone Soup Artisans in Saco, Maine.  I have also been juried by MPBN and the University of New England in 2005.  I am a member of “Maine Made” and am listed in The Maine Arts Commission’s Artist’s Directory.

I have exhibited at: the University of New England, Portland, Maine; the Turner Center for the Arts, Turner, Maine; the Art Space Gallery, Rockland, Maine; A Perfect World Gallery, Long Island City, NY; and the Climate Gallery also in Long Island City, NY.
