About my art
Primarily self-taught, I look at every piece as an opportunity to learn as well as to express. I have enjoyed the additional opportunities to learn and to collaborate with other artists provided by the Sanford-Springvale Art Association.
I work mostly with acrylics, pastels, and oil, but do occasional lighter works in pen and ink – usually holiday greeting cards and year-round note cards. I am especially interested in the way the same scene can present different textures, tones, and emotions depending on the medium.
